Description
Best for ingesting because of it's strength and purity.
Thyme contains high levels of the main active ingredient in the popular mouth wash Listerine,  Thymol. It is a very effective germ killer and shown to be effective at many other uses such as sore throat, colds, flu. dyspraxia, intestinal gas, parasitic worm infections, eczema, psoriasis, fungal skin disorders, toenail fungus, tonsillitis and other related pest or infection problems. It is also used to increase urine flow (it is a diuretic), to disinfect the urine, and has been used as an appetite stimulant. Some people apply thyme directly to chest or lymph nodes to massage in, though we recommend you always dilute first to make sure you aren't hypersensitive to the oils. It is also reportedly applied to the scalp to treat baldness or kill lice and to the ears to fight bacterial and fungal infections. Best used topically (in oils as a rub or in shampoo)  for it's insecticidal properties. Can safely be diffused as well. Many people have used it to kill lice, scabies, or even super lice. Some have used for household pest spray by putting a few drops into Witch Hazel and spraying the home and surfaces that cannot be washed in a machine. One customer had this to say about using it for super lice only once, "Lice was 100% gone in 1 application!". *She put 10 drops into a bottle of mouth wash that contained Thymol, Eucalyptol, and Menthol. Then shook it well and poured on the head and left to dry. We have personally used on our farm to get rid of pests on dogs, chickens, cats and it has worked every time.
